My dad has a 1956 Pontiac Chieftain from his birth year, and so growing up I always wondered what came out in 1984 that was worth a crap. I didn't even like the Vettes for that year (still don't).

After a year or two of being a Mac user, I realized that Macs were "born" exactly one week before my birthday on January 31, 1984.

 I've been on Macs for 6-7 years and am a system administrator over about 150 other Macs. I couldn't ask for a better association for my birth year!
