Windows Tartare

Frequent listeners (actually, even infrequent listeners) have noticed that I am not a fan of Vista. It is buggy and slow , and is likely that way due to the development process that was started, ended, started completely over, and then Vista was simply shipped because they had to get something out. I have frequently referenced it as Windows ME II, comparing it to Windows ME that was not very well received either.

However, after realizing that ME was at least fully cooked, and Vista is not, I am rechristening it Windows Tartare. It simply is not cooked at all. If you are running Vista, much luck to you.

Seriously, it usually does not make economic sense to upgrade to XP, so if your computer is loaded with Vista, just tough it out - it should work sometime this year.
